Cupido Peace Lily Overview
Spathiphyllum cochlearispathum is an evergreen perennial species in the arum family, Araceae. Also commonly known as Cupido Peace Lily, this attractive plant has a tufted habit and produces lance-shaped, shiny leaves with long pointed tips and green-white flowering spathes. Native to Mexico, this is an attractive foliage plant that tolerates neglect well. It is a popular houseplant due to its preference for a shady location. It adapts well to growing indoors but will flower better with increased light. It has also been found to absorb certain contaminants very effectively from the air. Mildly toxic to humans and animals on ingestion and foliage can irritate the skin.
