Genus with 1 hardy, evergreen perennial restricted in its distribution to mountainous regions of Bulgaria. Also known as Orpheus flower and resurrection plant due to its capability of surviving long periods of extreme drought. Growing from a rosette, foliage has scalloped edges and this genus does not typically possess stems. It produces 2-lipped flowers with one plane of symmetry down the centre and these are typically white or purple.
