Alchemilla Overview

This genus contains roughly 300 herbaceous perennial species native to Europe and Asia in subarctic and cool temperate conditions. Some species are found in mountainous regions of Africa and the Americas. They have clusters of small, petalless green-yellow flowers and are also grown for their appealing foliage, which are usually fan-shaped with toothed tips and covered in hairs. Alchemilla mollis is a popular garden plant from this genus, commonly known by the name Lady's Mantle.
