Dracaena 'Janet Craig' Overview

Dracaena fragrans 'Janet Craig' is an evergreen shrub or tree from the Asparagaceae family. Grown for the foliage, this plant is very easy to care for, tolerating long periods without water and low lighting. It often has multiple stems and produces linear to lance-shaped, dark green leaves on thick green stems, leaves are typically clustered at the tips of branches. Well suited to growing in those darker corners of the house. Flowers are rare in cultivation, if they appear, they are small, coloured green-white and may lead on to orange or red berries on mature specimens. This tender plant can be grown as a specimen plant. In frost-prone areas, it is best to place in a warm/temperate greenhouse or grow indoors as a houseplant. It enjoys bright, indirect light and will grow better with increased humidity.
