Nuphar Overview

A genus of 18 accepted species of rhizomatous, deciduous aquatic perennial plants in the Nymphaceae family native to the Northern Hemisphere from temperate to subarctic zones. They have disc-shaped, floating leaves and spherical flowers held above the water surface. They can be grown in still or running water down to a depth of 5m.
