Ajuga Overview

Ajuga is a genus of around 64 annual and perennial herbaceous plants, within the mint family of Lamiaceae. Featuring evergreen and semi-evergreen species, this spreading genus can handle both sun and shade. They grow vigorously in moist conditions from rhizomes and runners and are fully hardy, thus makes brilliant ground cover. The often blue flowers are double-lipped, tubular and grow up to 40cm in whorls during spring and summer.
