Cornstalk Dracaena Overview
Dracaena fragrans is an evergreen shrub or tree species from the Asparagaceae family. Grown for the foliage, this plant is very easy to care for, tolerating long periods without water and low lighting. This erect plant produces linear to lance-shaped leaves. They are typically clustered at the tips of branches. Flowers are rare in cultivation, if they appear, they are small, coloured green-white and may lead on to orange or red berries on mature specimens. Best grown as specimen plants or, in frost-prone areas, in a warm/temperate greenhouse, or as a houseplant.
