Iris tenax Overview
This is a deciduous beardless species. It will grow to about 30cm tall with dark green foliage which is stained pink at the base. The flowers will bloom from mid-spring into the summer. The blooms are about 9cm across and they are blue, lavender, yellow or white, and often have yellow and white markings on the falls.
How to propagate Iris tenax
By division of rhizomes or offsets in late summer. Certain cultivars should be propagated by division only.
Seed in autumn.
