Overview

A small genus containing 5 creeping annual or perennials from Southern Africa. Some species have been naturalised in other regions such as Europe, Australia, California and Argentina and are considered noxious weeds. They have characteristic wooly hairs on their surface and daisy-like, yellow flowers. This genus has been cultivated for its attractive foliage and flowers, treated as an ornamental ground cover plant in horticulture, but must be handled carefully as they can be invasive when introduced to new environments.
