Petrea is a genus containing approximately 12 species in the verbena family, Verbenaceae. Members of this genus are deciduous or semi-evergreen climbers, shrubs, and small trees that are grown for their 5-petalled flowers. They are best grown in open beds and borders in warmer areas, or if temperatures fall below 10–13ºC, in warm or temperate greenhouses.
