Common Tufted Vetch Overview

Vicia cracca is a vigorous, herbacous perennial species which produces scrambling stems about 1.8m long with deep green pinnate leaves. The flowers are violet to purple about 10cm long in the summer. This plant is often found in the wild in Northern Europe. Commonly known by the names Common Tufted Vetch, Tufted Vetch and Bird Vetch, Cow Vetch and Blue Vetch, amongst others. This perennial plant is considered a weed in many lcoations.
