Hanabusaya Overview

Hanabusaya is a small genus, containing only 1 perennial plant in the Campanulaceae family. The genus is termed monotypic as it only includes 1 species, Hanabusaya asiatica. This plant is commonly known by the name Diamond Bluebell, it produces attractive, hanging, bell-shaped, purple flowers. Foliage is lacking, particularly at the base and this plant has adapted to sandy loam soils. It originates from mountainous regions in Korea and is often found growing naturally on north-facing slopes.
