Crinum Lilies Overview

Crinum is a genus containing over 100 bulbous perennial species, typically grown for their scented, showy, funnel-shaped flowers in shades of white and pink. Leaves are long and generally strap-shaped and flowers are borne on leafless stems. Commonly known by the name Crinum Lilies, some of these plants may also be called River Lily, Veld Lily or Spider Lily, take care with common names as these are often shared across unrelated plants. This genus is adapted to seasonally moist habitats and can often be found along the sides of streams or in marshes across tropical and subtropical climates worldwide.
