Pink Purslane Overview

A semi-succulent, trailing plant that is covered in hairs - but the amount is variable, as are other features, depending on the age of the plant, where it is growing, amount of moisture in the soil etc. In general however, Portulaca pilosa has linear, fleshy leaves and rose-like pink flowers. It is an annual or short-lived perennial that is planted to best effect in a dry border, on banks or in containers.
