The annual Rosemoor Flower Show begins tomorrow.
Running until Sunday, the third year of the show will bring together floral displays, nurseries and trade stands to the 65 acre garden located in the Torridge Valley, North Devon.

The Cool Garden, a new permanent feature of the garden, will officially open on Friday. The garden has been three years in the planning and has been designed by Chelsea gold medalist Jo Thompson to demonstrate how gardens can help us cope with heavy rainfall.

Speaking about her design, Jo said; 'Having the opportunity to work on a flagship garden such as RHS Rosemoor is a real privilege, by being able to make a landscape that is openly accessible to everyone to see and enjoy.'

Floral designer Jonathan Moseley has created floral arches for the show and will be doing floral demonstrations throughout the weekend in the flower power tent. There will also be stunning displays from 21 nurseries, including the best in the South-West and even one from Holland. Each of these also has a spot to display the very best of their plants in.

Rosemoor's garden shelters have also been transformed with floral displays to mark 50 years of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
A new community 'village' will also house stands from local businesses, and there will be plenty of food and drink available from the food hall and bar and numerous stalls.

'This flower show has a real intimate feel to it.' Garden Curator Jonathon Webster told Candide; 'There's a lovely informality that softens the whole experience.'
'We may not have as many show gardens as the bigger shows, but Rosemoor is 65 acres and is a show garden in itself. The opening of The Cool Garden will be an added bonus.'
