Papaver rhoeas is an upright annual species from the Papaveraceae family. Well known by the names Field Poppy or Common Poppy. This annual plant has a wide distribution across most of Europe. This species is part of the Royal Horticultural Society “Plants for Pollinators” initiative to showcase plants which support pollinator populations by providing ample amounts of nectar and/ or pollen.
