    European Larch Overview

They will grow to about 30m with a conical crown when young and will spread with maturity. The branches are widely spaced and the branchlets have a graceful, weeping habit. The leaves are soft, bright green and needle-like; they turn yellow in the autumn before dropping. The grey bark becomes red-brown, fissured and scaly with age.

    How to propagate European Larch

    Seed

Seed sown in autumn or spring (but forms selected for leaf colour do not come true).

    Cuttings

Evergreen current growth cuttings in autumn to spring. Deciduous softwood cuttings in summer.

    Other uses of European Larch
