Corkscrew Rush Overview
Juncus effusus f. spiralis is better known by the name Corkscrew Rush. It is a clump-forming, aquatic, evergreen perennial from the Juncaceae family. Corkscrew Rush is grown for its curious spiralling, leafless, dark-green stems. The form an attractive tangle of twisting, green stems. It grows best in the shallow margins of pools or consistently moist, acidic soil in full sun or partial shade. Occasionally brown flowers are produced in summer.
