Joe Pye Weed 'Orchard Dene' Overview

This cultivar is a perennial species that produces dusky pink flowers arranged in clusters on flat-topped corymbs. Can reach heights of 2.5m and this plant is extremely cold tolerant, able to survive freezing temperatures and the coldest European continental climates. Previously known as Eupatorium, this plant has recently been re-classified as being part of the Eutrochium genus and their name change was announced by NATAG (RHS Nomenclature and Taxonomy Advisory Group) in the March 2021 edition of The Plant Review.
