Pampas Grass Overview

Cortaderia selloana is commonly known as Pampas Grass, it is a clump-forming, evergreen perennial grass species from the Poaceae family. Pampas Grass is a popular ornamental grass, grown for the showy, feathery flowerheads. Flowers are plume-shaped and measure up to 90cm in length, they are coloured creamy white to silverish and may be flushed with pink-purple. It can grow up to 3m in height, producing arching, toothed, narrow, blue-green foliage measuring up to 2.5m in length. Grow this hardy plant in full sun and well-draining soil.
