Clustered Bellflower Overview
Campanula glomerata - also commonly known as Clustered Bellflower - is a rhizomatous perennial that forms an extensive clump of erect stems. These bear ovate, dark green leaves. Deep violet-blue, bell-shaped flowers are produced all summer on dense clusters of racemes. The true flower colour of Campanula glomerata is best preserved in the shade and it is a plant particularly suitable for naturalizing in woodland and wildflower gardens. Vigorous and attractive, it is also widely seen in mixed borders. Preferring moist but well-drained, alkaline soil, Campanula glomerata will thrive in full sun or partial shade.
