This is an attractive shrub or small tree, which grows to about 4m with a rounded crown about 2.4m wide. The leaves are oval, glossy green and pointed. The flowers are borne in late spring and early summer, and are small white blooms which hang in clusters. They are followed by berries that ripen to red.
