Philodendron Moonlight Overview
Philodendron 'Moonlight' is an attractive, evergreen perennial cultivar in the Araceae family. Philodendron 'Moonlight' may reach up to 1m in height. It has slim, heart-shaped, glossy green leaves which emerge yellow. These are produced on trailing stems and this cultivar is attractive as a hanging plant. It can also have a climbing habit: provide a moss pole to encourage this form of growth. Mature plants may produce creamy-white to pink-red flowers arranged in spathe structures. This tender species should be positioned in partial to shaded light, in well-draining, moist soil, high in organic matter for optimal growth. Philodendron plants originate from Mexico, Central America, South America and parts of the Caribbean, this tropical plant is a commonly grown houseplant in many areas, including the UK. Toxic to both humans and pets. Can also be a skin irritant.
