Peucedanum Overview

A genus of hardy flowering herbaceous perennials, shrubs and some trees in the Apiaceae family native to parts of Eurasia and Africa but with several members naturalised elsewhere. They have compound, divided leaves and the characteristic flat umbels of flowers found in other members of this family that includes carrot and parsley. Commonly cultivated species include P. ostruthium and its cultivars with often variegated foliage and lacy umbels of Summer flowers.
