Limoneira Lemon Overview
Limoneira is a selection of Lisbon, developed in California. The selection was released in South Africa around 1998 and is now one of the most popular lemons in SA. It has good production, medium fruit size and high oil content. It has protracted flowering. It blooms 4-6 times more than the Eureka, making it more productive and has a lower seed content. The fruit reaches its most optimal ripeness level from Autumn to Winter. It is also less thorny than the Lisbon.
