Portuguese Squill Overview

Scilla peruviana is a bulbous perennial from the Asparagaceae family. It produces striking blue circles of flowers from spring. The flowers measure around 1.5cm across. Originating from the Mediterranean, it is commonly known by the names Portuguese Squill and Cuban Lily, amongst others. It typically grows to around 30cm in height, producing narrow, lance-shaped, dark green leaves. Plant in full sun to partial shade, in well-draining soil.
