Voodoo Bulb Overview

Sauromatum venosum will produce bold tropical foliage and strange, yellow, arum-like flower with purple spots, which emerge first in spring and grow to 3 feet in height and just 1 inch wide. Commonly known by the names Voodoo Bulb and Voodoo Lily, this plant is part of the arum family, Araceae. The foliage is born on distinctive green and black mottled stems and consists of a single, horse-shoe shaped leaf about 38cm long which appears after the flower. A distinctive 2 inch round seed head appears after flowering at the base of the leaves. Also known as Tymphonium venosum.
