Sibbaldiopsis Overview

A monotypic genus in the rose family comprising only one species; S. tridentata, commonly known as three-toothed cinquefoil. It is a herbaceous perennial native to parts of North America and Canada where it grows in arid regions often on dry, acidic soils. Although not commonly cultivated it can do well in a rock garden as long as it is not in competition with other plants. It has clusters of white flowers above lobed potentilla-like leaves and good foliage colour in the Autumn.
