Prayer Plant 'Whitestar' Overview
The cultivar Calathea 'Whitestar' has recently been reclassified, and it is now known as Goeppertia 'Whitestar'. This cultivar is a stunning foliage plant, prized for its striking and attractively patterned leaves. As a result, it's widely cultivated as a houseplant! The genus Goeppertia is native to tropical Central and South America, found in humid forests and at forest margins. It contains multiple threatened species. Like other Goeppertia species and cultivars, this grows best in indirect light and moderate humidity. Plants such as this are commonly known as Prayer Plants due to their habit of raising and lowering their leaves over the course of a day.
