Berlandiera Overview

Small genus of under 10 clumping, perennial, herbaceous plants and subshrubs distributed across the USA and Mexico. They are commonly called greeneyes. Plants are normally covered in hairs, creating a textured surface which may be rough or soft. Flowers possess between 2-13 ray florets on each flowerhead, which may be borne singly or in an array and generally they are yellow or red in colour on the upper surface, with veined green or red undersides.
