King Of Air Plants Overview
Tillandsia xerographica is a slow-growing, xerophytic epiphyte. Because of its full and striking shape, it is a favourite among florists and designers in tablescapes, floral arrangements, and even wedding bouquets. The impressive size and spherical shape have even inspired brides to use the King Of Air Plants on their own as a simple, modern alternative to a full bouquet. Tillandsia xerographica typically grows to around 90cm tall and wide, producing light green to silver-grey, linear foliage which curves backwards. Flowers are arranged on spikes, these are approximately 40cm tall and the flowers are tubular and coloured red-purple. These are surrounded by modified leaves known as bracts, they are coloured green in this species.
