Orbea dummeri Overview

Orbea dummeri is a succulent perennial species in the Apocynaceae family. Historically it was better known as Stapelia dummeri, however due to reclassification, it is now included within the genus Orbea. This interesting plant doesn't typically exceed 10cm in height and 30cm in width. It produces grey-green to white stems with purple-red markings. The surface of this plant is covered in projections, termed tubercles. Flowers are star-shaped, hairy and bright yellow to green in colour, they form in the summer on short stems.
