Bur-reed Overview
A genus of marginal aquatic plants from wet regions in temperate zones of both Hemispheres. They are commonly known as bur-reed and are cultivated for their upright strap-like leaves and spherical flowerheads followed by burr-like fruit. They are useful marginal plants as they can tolerate cold water and deep shade.
