Syngonium 'Neon Robusta' Overview
The cultivar Syngonium podophyllum 'Neon Robusta' is an evergreen climber from the arum family, Araceae. It produces vibrant arrow-shaped leaves that are coloured light green to rosy-pink, and it is considered one of the brightest species in the genus Syngonium. Commonly grown as a houseplant for its attractive foliage, leaves become multi-lobed as they age. It produces arum-like flowers, but rarely in cultivation. Partial shade and regular feeding in summer will keep Syngoniums happy as long as they are also watered well during the summer, more sparingly in the winter months, when they need to be kept above 15ºC. Originating from tropical rainforest environments, this cultivar is not frost hardy and therefore best grown indoors in cool climates.
Common problems with Syngonium 'Neon Robusta'
Plants kept indoors are susceptible to Mealybug and Spider Mite infestations. Regularly inspect the leaves for insects or discolouration.
