Cabbage Palm 'Tango' Overview
Cordyline 'Tango' is a tender, evergreen shrub cultivar from the Asparagaceae family. It is commonly grown as a houseplant for its attractive variegated foliage. Leaves are wide and sword-shaped, coloured dark red-green and pink with red edging, particularly on younger leaves. The colouring becomes more pronounced in stronger light. This plant looks great planted up in patio containers, it is however tender and thus won't cope well with freezing temperatures, bring inside if growing in temperate locations. Grow in bright, indirect light and ensure the pot is thoroughly dry between watering. It has an upright, bushy habit and is capable of growing to around 1m tall and wide. Small, slightly scented, star-shaped pink flowers may appear in the summer.
