Table Palm Overview

Saribus rotundifolia is a medium to large palm tree in the palm family, Arecaceae. Commonly known by the names Table Palm, Roundleaf Fan Palm and Fan Palm, amongst others. This plant may be found growing naturally from Borneo to New Guinea. It is a popular choice for landscaping due to its elegant, architectural shape and large, fan-shaped leaves. Table Palm is a great plant to grow indoors, it copes well with irregular watering and brings a touch of the tropics into the home. This plant was previously well known as Livistona rotundifolia. It forms a single, slender trunk which develops rounded dark green leaf blades, these are divided into many rigid notched lobes. Stems possess sharp thorns along their length.
