Prickly thrift Overview

A genus of small evergreen perennial plants. They have evolved from high altitude, open, rocky habitats and make good rock garden and wall plants. They are compact, mat-forming plants with tufted shoots. This fully hardy genus is grown for its attractive funnel-shaped white or pink flowers and tight spiny leaf rosettes.
