Windflower Overview

Genus also known as rain lily or windflower, has around 88 clumping, bulbous perennial species which produce white, pink or yellow crocus-like flowers. This genus is widely cultivated for its ornamental value and many cultivars and hybrids exist, with a range of colourful flowers. Some species produce scented flowers and some cultivars have been developed with better cold hardiness to allow planting in colder climates.
