Colquhounia Overview

Colquhounia is a genus containing approximately 5 evergreen or semi-evergreen shrubs and subshrubs originating from the Himalayas, Southwest China and Malaysia. They evolved from thick scrubland. Foliage is toothed and produced oppositely, they do not tend to grow over 4m high. Flowers are produced on tall spikes. They appear tubular, 2-lipped, vivid orange-red and measure 2-5cm in length.
