Cat's ears Overview
Genus of around 60 hardy evergreen or semi-evergreen herbaceous perennials from temperate locations in the Northern Hemisphere, frequently called catsfoot or pussytoes. Species tend to grow between 10-50cm, have wooly leaves and nearly stemless flowers which are borne in clusters. These tend to be bright pink or white coloured and button-shaped.
How to propagate Cat's ears
By seed or division in spring.
Other uses of Cat's ears
Grown for the almost stemless flower heads. Makes good ground cover.
