Chinese Evergreen 'Super White' Overview
Aglaonema 'Super White' is an attractive, variegated white and green-leaved, evergreen perennial cultivar from the aroid family, Araceae. The species it was bred from originates from tropical and subtropical climates in Asia and New Guinea. Commonly known by the names Chinese Evergreen 'Super White' and Chinese Evergreen 'Snow White', amongst others. This plant may also be sold as Aglaonema 'Snow White'. This tender plant won't cope with freezing temperatures, lots of bright indirect light is best and moist, well-draining soil. Due to the large amounts of white in this cultivars leaves, it requires more light compared to other Chinese Evergreens. It still makes a great houseplant, grow on a bright windowsill out of long periods of direct sunlight. It produces beautiful, variegated green and white foliage. The lance-shaped leaves are mostly white, with green specks that gain prominence at the edges and green veins. The variegation will be more pronounced when grown in stronger lighting, but take care with strong sunlight as this can damage the leaves. Flowers can appear, but this is uncommon, particularly when grown indoors as a houseplant. They are whitish in colour and similar to those of Peace Lilies.
