Pyramid Tree Overview
Lagunaria is a small genus thought to contain only 2 evergreen tree species in the Malvaceae family. This genus is endemic to Norfolk Island and these plants have been introduced to other areas of the world such as North America, South Africa and Ethiopia. These plants produce showy pink flowers, sometimes whitish, they resemble those of the genus Hibiscus and appear from late summer-autumn.
