Olearia Overview

Olearia is a genus of around 130 species of herbaceous plants, or evergreen shrubs and trees in the daisy family, Asteraceae (Asteraceae). This genus is mostly native to Australasia and New Guinea. The woody specimens go by the common names daisy bush or tree daisy after their distinctive daisy-like flowerheads. They are popular in cultivation and several hybrids, some of unknown parentage, are among the most commonly grown garden specimens. They prefer full sun and a well-drained soil, and cannot tolerate cold, wet conditions.
