    Sutera Overview

A genus from the figwort family with almost 80 species, these plants are mostly native to Africa and are annual or perennial flowering plants and shrubs. Cultivated varieties are often grown as hanging basket plants known as bacopa. They have heart-shaped leaves and five-petalled flowers, which are produced over a long season.
