False acacia Overview

There are about 20 species of deciduous shrubs and trees in this genus. Some will grow about 24m tall. They will produce pinnate leaves with small oval leaflets, which will sometimes turn yellow in the autumn. They will produce pendulous sprays of pink, purple or white pea-shaped fragrant blooms in late spring and early summer. The fruits are flat and pod-like.
