Cushion Fanflower Overview
Scaevola crassifolia is a shrub species native to southern and western Australia. Commonly known by the names Cushion Fanflower, Thick-Leaved Fanflower and Thick-Leaved Scaevola, they are becoming popular as hanging basket plants due to their tolerance to drought and for their trailing habit. The unusual fan-like flowers look as if they have been cut in half and are therefore a striking addition to a summer bedding display. In this species the flowers are typically blue or white.
