Aconite Overview

Aconitum is a genus of over 250 herbaceous perennial plants known by many common names such as Aconite, Wolfsbane or Monkshood. Growing in mountainous regions, this genus is fully hardy and would suit a rock garden or border planting. They bear pretty, hooded, most often purple flowers in summer on upright stems, but all parts are highly toxic and handling the foliage may irritate skin.
