Japanese maple Overview

This variety is dome shaped, and has larger leaves than the species type; up to 12cm wide, 7-lobed, with lobes evenly serrate and acutely pointed. Leaves are mid green in the summer and turn bright crimson in the autumn and the bark is grey-brown in colour. The red flowers have purple sepals and are drooping and red-stemmed.
