Moon Valley Pilea Overview
Pilea mollis is a bushy, evergreen perennial plant from the Urticaceae family, originating from Colombia and Venezuela. Commonly known by the names Moon Valley Pilea and Friendship Plant, it is frequently grown indoors as a houseplant. This plant typically grows to around 30cm tall. This tender plant is grown for the foliage over the flowers, which are small, pink and not showy. Leaves are oval in shape and prominently textured. Place in partial to full shade and moist, well-draining soil for optimal growth.
