Blushing Philodendron Overview

Philodendron erubescens is a stout, evergreen climber also known by the names Blushing Philodendron and Red-leaf Philodendron. It resides in the Araceae family and may grow to 4m in height. Foliage is glossy and dark green on the upper surface, red-purple below, triangular to oval in shape, and up to 40cm long. Mature plants may produce red-purple flowering spathes measuring around 15cm long. Originating from Columbia, this tropical plant is a commonly grown houseplant in many areas.
